Komida 4 Kids
In an effort to prevent childhood hunger and to provide each child the opportunity to succeed in school and life, ORT Komida 4 Kids has partnered with the Houston Food Bank to bring the Backpack Program to ChannelviewISD. Each week, students enrolled in this program receive a backpack of food that will help sustain them through the weekends when school food is not accessible. We currently serve 6 schools, which includes 150 children. Our goal is to have all Channelview ISD schools participate in this program. And to find other ways to feed the hungriest of kids in our community.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Service
Inspired by the Tuesday evening Prayer Services of Brooklyn Tabernacle, we open our doorsfor congregational prayer andeveryone is encouraged to offer up prayers of intercession for the needs within our church, our community, our world. We then move into prayers for healing and blessing. We then move to small group prayer where we can focus on more specific needs all prompted by the leading of the Holy Spirit. Also, as the Spirit leads, Pastor Greg and other Prayer Team membersmay get involved with praying for people who come up for prayer after our services. Anyone in need of prayer is encouraged to attend as well as those who have a burden to pray.
Weekly Bible Studies
We offer ongoing concurrent topical Bible Studies on Wednesday mornings and evenings. The Bible Studies usually correlate with a sermon series offered by Pastor Greg on Sunday mornings. The Bible studies generally include a video lecturer, time for discussion, and are facilitated by Pastor Greg in the Family Life Center. Everyone is invited.
